Join us for this special book release presentation and signing from author Jon Campbell on his newly released book "Railroads, Rifles, and Ruffians: Tales from a Colorado Denver & Rio Grande Railroad Agent 1901-1907."
Book Overview: John Milton Campbell arrived in Colorado in 1901, carrying a grip containing all his worldly possessions. Over the next six years, he worked as a Denver & Rio Grande Railroad "boomer" in several Colorado towns.
Michael Weinfeld and John Howe will discuss their successful book 'Shootouts, Killings, and War Heroes: The History Hidden in Monument’s Cemetery.' They’ll talk about the many pioneers, veterans and colorful figures buried in the graveyard that dates back to the mid-1800s. Michael and John will also discuss the process of researching those buried there and the various obstacles they had to overcome during their volunteer project for the town.
Each monthly session will feature a different STEM or Colorado History topic where we explore in the classroom, in the museum and throughout the historic Museum Campus.
Registration preferred, class size is limited.
We do require that a supervising adult be present, but you may work together with other Homeschool families to coordinate supervision. Students of outlying ages/abilities may receive other age-appropriate activities. For further inquires, please speak with our Education Coordinator at education@wmmi.org.

Showed up for STEM event and left a fan. This museum is not like any other mining museum i had been to. I working blacksmith and stamp mill was a pleasant touch. Flourscent Blacklight Mineral room is also a winner. Its an affordable and educational experience that is worth the value.
