WMMI offers a wide range of educational programs for all ages. We host our monthly lecture series, Gold Assay classes, Blacksmith classes, writing classes and STEM camps. Plus, schools from around the area come to WMMI for incredible field trips to teach the importance of mining, manufacturing and ranching history in the American West.

Water sustains life. Therefore, it’s vitally important to all of us. This August, celebrate National Water Quality Month by being aware of your water habits and taking steps to ensure clean water for everyone. When we have clean water, we can lead satisfying lives.
The Chilean Miners Rescue Pod, FENIX II, was used to save the 33 Miners who were trapped in the San Jose mine in 2010. The accident began during a mine collapse on August 5 -- the miners were finally brought to the surface on October 13. For 69 days, the world watched and waited for their rescue.
