The Western Museum of Mining is honored to be the Air Force Academy’s neighbor…and lucky too! The Mining Museum is the perfect place to watch the amazing aerial acrobatics of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.
We suggest you bring your own chairs, blankets, and sunscreen. Feel free to bring a picnic or purchase from one of our food trucks. Let WMMI provide the location for you to experience the mighty Thunderbirds soaring overhead!
Museum Members are free.
Your $5.00 admission (per vehicle) benefits WMMI, thank you for supporting your local, non-profit museum.
Regular admission applies for indoor activities. Please note that online admission purchase to the museum will include the $5 per vehicle fee.
You are also able to purchase admission to the museum in person. *Timing for this event is contingent upon timing of the graduation and airshow.
