 ad a lifelong passion for its local history. After receiving a BA in Cultu
 ral Anthropology from Willamette University (Salem\, OR) and an MLIS in Ar
 chives Management from Simmons University (Boston\, MA)\, she returned to 
 her hometown and began working as the Director of History & Archives for t
 he Union Printers Home in 2021.\nThe Home was dedicated in 1892 as a care 
 facility for members of the International Typographical Union\, and contin
 ued to serve in a similar capacity until it closed in 2020. It was purchas
 ed by a group of local investors in 2021 to preserve its history and redev
 elop the property into a vibrant new mixed-use neighborhood. Ellie's prese
 ntation will detail the history of the Home and give a brief glimpse into 
 some of the plans for the future Printers Hill.
